Mel-O-Toons sometimes erroneously called "Mello Toons", was a series of animated cartoons produced in 1960 by New World Productions and syndicated by United Artists. It featured various folk tales, Greco-Roman myths, Biblical stories, some original stories by author Thornton Burgess, classic stories, even adaptations of classical music and ballet. The soundtracks were often taken from existing children's records, licensed from the original labels. 104 cartoons, each about 6 minutes long, were produced in limited animation.

Nostalgia!
My family had many of the records when I was a kid, and I played them often.
I believe I recognize the voice of King Richard in "Robin Hood" I think it's the actor Nelson Olmstead. And I think he also voiced the Sheriff in a lower register. In the 50s he had a short-lived series of radio shows, "Sleep No More!" He read classic horror stories.

I usually always disagree with Doo Wop Bob, but I must say that Mello Toons really does SUCK!!!! I remember when Cartoon Network aired em back at the start of the network in the early 90s! They were horrible! Goodbye to Craptastic Rubbish!
